Hull

  • X-55,3 cabin version, with owner's berth to port and heads forward
  • Hull and deck are built in a sandwich construction of vinylester and isolatic polyester resin and biaxial E-glass fabric. Further reinforcements are with particular positioned biaxial E-glass fabric in high stress areas. Core material is 25-30 mm compressed Divinycell® with a density of 80-120 kg/m³.
  • Solid laminate is used around keel, rudder and through-hull fittings for maximum strength.
  • X-Yachts integrated galvanised steel girder system, accepting loads from the keel and rig, laminated to hull and bulkheads.
  • Custom hull colour, 7035 grey, waterline stripes 9010 white
  • Factory applied bottom treatment: mat sanding, 3 x epoxy, 2 x antifouling

Interior

  • The yacht’s wooden interior is teak in hand polished satin finish. All carpentry is carried out in accordance with best yacht practice.
  • The honeycomb-cored floorboards are made with 4 mm teak surfaces and allow access to the bilge, whereas the companionway steps are laminated curved teak with no lacquer for improved grip.
  • Additional hinged berth - one in each aft cabin replacing teak shelve
  • Single hinged pipe berth in forepeak

Main Cabin

  • The standard main cabin has an U-shaped sofa (252cm x 140cm) to port surrounding the rectangular table (120cmx73cm), which has a built-in bar. A small two seater sofa without backrest provides further seating at the table
  • The upper cabinet sections on both starboard and portside allow for storage of glasses etc.

Plumbing

  • A central bilge is incorporated in the keel structure, which allows all water to be collected here and disposed of by using the automatic keel bilge pump or the hand operated pump, positioned in the cockpit.
  • A hot and cold pressurised water system with 2 fresh water tanks of a total of 550 litre capacity including VDO analogue tank level gauge.
  • A Sigmar 40 l hot water tank (80° C) including an immersion heater is mounted under the aft berth. The tank is either heated by the immersion heater run by the shore power or by a heat exchanger connected to the engine.

Electrical Installations

  • X-Yachts’ main switchboard includes 30 automatic fuses, 3 analogue meters, one for monitoring actual voltage of service- and engine battery bank and two for monitoring actual level in fuel and water tanks.
  • A 24 V DC system runs throughout the yacht. All cables are terminated in a "dry" GRP box fitted behind the electrical panel.
  • 8 x 12V 120 amps (480Ah @ 24V) Gel service and
  • 1 x 12V 55 amps engine start spiral-cell battery.

  • 3-bladed Flex-O-Fold Propeller connected to the engine via a shaft made of high tensile corrosion resistant stainless steel, through stainless steel P-bracket and stern tube fitted with maintenance free drip free seal.
  • The fuel tank capacity of 400 litres is divided into a storage tank and a consumption aluminium fuel tank with VDO analogue tank level gauge, deck fill, separator incl. filter and shut off valve.
