GETTING TO LUTINE
Lutine is based at Haslar Marina (on the very end of Pontoon D), Haslar Road, Gosport PO12 1NU.
By Car
From London, follow the A3 until you join the M27 heading west towards Southampton. From the M27 take the main Gosport/ Fareham turnoff (Junction 11), follow the dual carriageway towards Fareham before turning left on to the A32 Gosport road and follow the signs for A32 – Gosport Town Centre. The A32 runs for about 6 miles before you approach the marina area. Look out for the Castle Pub on your left. You will start to bear round to the right and on your left will be the ferry terminal, take the second turning on the left into Haslar Road, sign-posted to Haslar Marina. Follow this road a short way and on your right you will find two large green channel buoys, drive in between them to the car park on the right. Be aware that the car park is a pay and display.
The pedestrian entrance to the marina is at the far end of the car park on the opposite side of the road. At the entrance to the Marina use the intercom system on the gate, press the button to call security and ask for “Lutine”. Go down the gangway onto the shore-side pontoon and follow this to pontoon “D”. Lutine is berthed at the very end.
By Rail
Take the Portsmouth Harbour express train from London Waterloo. The journey is approximately one hour and forty minutes and the service runs regularly. Make sure to get off at the end of the line (Portsmouth Harbour, not Portsmouth). There is a ferry that runs every fifteen minutes between Gosport and Portsmouth Harbour. If arriving on foot via the ferry you do not need to walk to the main marina entrance, there is a pedestrian gate nearer to the ferry terminal where you can also enter. Once in Gosport, exit the ferry terminal and turn left. Follow the newly constructed harbour side walk until you come to the northern most corner of the marina where you will see the pedestrian gate.
